I wrote a short story for l/l writing class:

An Unexpected Surprise

When Julieta was young she was the best-friend of her neighbour John. Although John was three years older than Julieta, they were very good friends. On all Tuesday afternoons, Julieta escaped from her house through a window, and met with John to play. John always played to be a doctor and Julieta his assistant, they had a lot of fun, and they were always for the other, no matter when or where.

But when she was eleven years old, John told Julieta that he and his family would move to New York. Julieta was very sad but, when she was about to cry, John hugged her and whispered to her ear “just wait for me, I will be back“. Julieta waited days, months and years, but after six years she lost her hope.

When Julieta was almost twenty four years old she suffered a car accident, although it wasn’t so bad, she broke her arm. Later, at the hospital, a doctor of approximately her age, with dark hair and green eyes, entered to see her. But, for Julieta’s surprise, instead of checking her arm, he moved his mouth near Julieta’s ear and whispered “I told you I would be back, why didn’t you  wait for me?“. Then he left the room, that was the last time she ever saw him.
