FCE Writing Practice (1)

In the Language class, with the help of my teacher Andrea Schejter, I wrote an essay in wich we had to explain if we agree or disagree with the following statement: " The young can learn a lot about life of older people". And a letter replying to an imaginary English friend who stayed with me, in wich we had to ad specific information. To practice for the First Certificate Exam (F.C.E)

Letter
Dear David,
Thanks for your letter, I really appreciate it. It wasn't a problem having you in my house, in fact I loved it! My family also liked your visit, so they send you greetings.
I had a lot of fun at your staying, I really enjoyed showing you my city. However, it was a lot for one week, we were running all the time; Next time come for longer and I'll show you some interesting places we hadn't time to see.
Furthermore, my family want you to come again, they really miss you. Especially my little sister, she always asks me about you, I'll send you a drawing she made for you. Would you please send me the photos you told me? I think I will do a collage, I can do another for you if you want.
I thought about your invitation of staying with you, and I'd like to go. Maybe we can arrange later.
 Write to me soon!
 With love, Alex.

Essay

I agree with the fact that young people can learn a lot from older people. Since, although we can learn a lot from our own experiences, elderly have more life experiences, they have lived a lot of diffrent situations.
Thats why, If i want advice on how to resolve a problem with my life, I would ask older people, like my mother or grandmother.

Besides, older people have been teaching us how to do things since we were little. For example, how to use a knife, how to walk, they teach us to say please and thanks, they even teach us how to walk.
In conclusion, I think that older people can teach a lot about life to young people.
